ABOUT US

Kathy was born and educated in Taupō and completed her Law Degree at Auckland University. She has been practicing law in Auckland and then back home in Taupō for over 30 years. Kathy joined Jensen Waymouth in 2007 following several years as a sole practitioner. As well as managing the firm (she can be a bit bossy), Kathy gets to assist her clients with all areas of practice but has in recent years definitely forged ahead with Estate planning being Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and inevitably Estate administration.

Craig is a founding partner of Jensen Waymouth, and remains a director of the firm. Craig has valuable knowledge of many aspects of the legal issues that can arise for clients in their everyday life and is a worthwhile ear for problem solving.

Greg graduated from Victoria University in 2020 and came to us from Crown Law after deciding to move closer to family and start his legal career in general practice. He is a quick learner and has established himself as an integral part of the legal team at Jensen Waymouth. Greg can assist you in all areas of law practiced at Jensen Waymouth.

Ian started out obtaining a Bachelor of Agriculture at Massey University then retrained as a Legal Executive, starting at Jensen Waymouth in 1996. Ian is a good talker and likes nothing better than engaging in a funny story with his many long standing clients. Ian concentrates his efforts on conveyancing, business sales and purchases, subdivisions and commercial transactions but is able to assist you with any other area of law we practice in.

Sarah joined Jensen Waymouth in 2013 and proved to have the qualities required to be a successful legal professional, having held several roles within the firm. She completed her Legal Executive studies in 2023 and became a Registered Legal Executive in August 2023. Sarah assists Kathy and Ian with Estate planning, Deceased Estates, Conveyancing (Residential and Commercial) and Wills. She also looks after her own clients with the knowledge she has gained in a quiet and determined manner.

Helen has practiced in the legal field for eight years, completing her Legal Executive studies in 2021 and becoming registered in 2021. She shows determination and dedication to fulfil her potential as an active and essential member of our team.

Sharon has worked in legal practice for most of her working life, working with Kathy for close to 30 of those years. Sharon is the quiet achiever and her knowledge of legal matters is extensive. The most common reply to a question in our office is “Ask Sharon”. Sharon assists Kathy with all her legal matters and is her right-hand person. Sometimes Ian and Greg get a look in if they have a complicated matter that only Sharon can handle.

Maria is another long standing staff member who started with Jensen Waymouth in 2002. Much to our dismay she had a ten year break to raise her three children but has been back in the fold for many years. Another immensely knowledgeable member of our staff who works quietly and efficiently.

Jordyn is our young and dynamic breath of fresh air who is moving the older and slightly infirm members of the firm along with her vibrant personality and quick wit. A quick learner, she will tackle anything thrown at her and is making working in a law firm look easy. Jordyn will undoubtedly be the first person clients get to talk to and this will be a pleasure not to be missed.

Carmen is our Trust Account Administrator and as such, a vital member of the team. She came to us five years ago, having moved to Taupō from Auckland to be close to family. Carmen is calm, precise and a stickler for detail, making her the perfect advocate for her role. She ensures everyone does exactly what they should do for every transaction through the Trust Account, and has proven that she was made for this role. She also bakes the staff lots of yummy morning teas!

My job is to make sure none of the staff try to escape!
